Ford Ranger with a 8.3L Godzilla V8

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Ben Strader built this 2001 Ford Ranger called “RangerZilla” at this company 10K Technology for his daughter Ally Strader to race. Under the truck’s cowl hood sits a naturally aspirated 511 ci (8.3 L) Godzilla V8 producing 800 hp (588 kW) and 721 lb-ft (977 Nm) of torque. The motor features a Callies 4.5-inch stroke crankshaft, Callies forged rods, Mahle forged pistons, dry sump system, and REF Unlimited custom exhaust headers. On top are 10K Technology ported heads with upgraded valves and InnoV8 59 mm individual throttle bodies. Behind the big-block V8 is a Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission and Gear Vendors under/overdrive to act like a four-speed transmission. Power is sent to the rear slicks through a Fab9 rear end. Listen to Ben and Ally discuss the truck to Evan in the video below.
