Toyota MR2 with 677 hp Turbo 2GR V6
TCS Motorsports offers a 2GR-FE V6 turn-key swap for the Toyota MR2. The company showed off their skilled when building their 1994 MR2. In the back they swapped a turbocharged 2GR V6 capable of 677 hp (497 kW) and 500 lb-ft (677 Nm) of torque. The motor features a 6466 turbocharger, Frankenstein Motorworks exhaust headers, Monkeywrench Racing lifters, custom intercooler, and 44 mm wastegate. It runs on a flex fuel system utilizing ID1300X injectors on a Radium fuel rail fed by a Hellcat pump. Everything is controlled by a Link ECU on a WireGap Inc wiring harness. A Clutchmasters twin-disc clutch transmits the motor’s power to a Toyota E153 five-speed manual transmission with a factory limited-slip differential and TCS Motorsports axles. The suspension features Rob Pham 808 coilovers, aftermarket sway bars, and Wilhelm Raceworks front and rear brake kits. In 2025 TCS Motorsports rebuilt the car to handle a 1,000 hp 2GR for drag racing. You can watch the progress on their channel.
