Matt Kwiek and his company Kwiek Classics specialize in Mercedes restorations and swaps. In 2025 Kwiek Classics built this 1963 Mercedes 230SL with a 5.4 L M113 V8 from a 2002 Mercedes S55. Behind it is an organic clutch, lightweight flywheel, and Mercedes 716 six-speed manual transmission. A custom driveshafts transmits power to a Quaife limited-slip differential with 2.82 ratio. Kwiek Classics improved the car’s handling be rebuilding the front suspension and steering box. They added W126 560SEL front brakes using custom billet hubs. In the back they swapped the factory swing axle for a Mercedes Mercedes C209 CLK rear subframe, 5-link suspension, and brakes. You can view more photos and purchase the car at Ottis & Co.
