1963 Beetle with a Turbo EJ25
This 1963 VW Beetle originally came with an air-cooled flat-four producing around 40 hp. It is now powered by a turbocharged 2.5 L Subaru EJ25 flat-four. The motor features a semi-closed-deck block, forged crankshaft, forged rods, JDM STI EJ20 heads, and a Turbonetics turbocharger. It is paired to a 6-rib four-speed manual transaxle with a locked differential. The car rides on a lowered suspension with adjustable rear A-arms. A set of 15-inch wheels cover Wilwood six-piston front calipers with drilled rotors and two-piston rear calipers with drilled rotors. The body is coated in World Rally Blue Pearl paint and the rear quarter windows were swapped for acrylic NACA ducts to cool the radiator. The car is for sale on Bring a Trailer located in Newcastle, California.
