It’s been a couple of weeks since we shared HGK Racing Team‘s newest drift project. Back then we knew very little besides it was a Toyota GT86 with a carbon/kevlar widebody and a powerful LSx V8. The company released a new video on the project with more details. They call the car “Project Rhino” for obvious reasons and it’s powered by a naturally aspirated LSx V8 built by Mast Motorsports that makes 800 horsepower. The drivetrain consists of a Samsonas five-speed sequential transmission with Spec clutch, Driveshaft Shop carbon fiber driveshaft, and Winters quick-change rear end. It rides on a Wisefab suspension with Nitron three-way adjustable coilovers with Wilwood lightweight brakes.
