Nissan R32 with a VR38DETT

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Andrey Kravchenko built and owns TopSpeed Ukraine’s Nissan R32 Skyline drag car. He purchased the car in 2010 and immediately began upgrading the RB26. Eventually he built the engine into a RB hybrid, with a RB30 block and RB26 head. Together with a Garrett GT55 turbo and some nitrous, Andrey was able to achieve a European record (at that time) of 7.43 sec quarter-mile on a properly prepped dragstrip. In 2015 Andrey decided to go in a different direction with the Skyline. Not only did he want to make more power but he also wanted the car to be different than everything else out there. So he decided to install a 3.8 L Nissan VR38DETT V6 with two Garrett 4202 turbochargers. The engine makes around 980-1,000 horsepower on 30-33 psi of boost. Behind the engine sits a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission using their own custom adapter.
