1985 Chevy C10 with a LT1 V8
Goolsby Customs transformed this 1985 Chevy C10 into a pro-touring truck worthy of winning the People’s Choice Award at the Barrett-Jackson Cup.
The truck is powered by a 6.2 L LT1 V8 crate motor capable of 455 hp (334 kW) and 465 lb-ft (630 Nm) of torque on 11.5:1 compression. The motor features forged steel crank, forged rods, aluminum pistons, and billet steel roller camshaft. Other parts include Billet Specialties accessory drive, Edelbrock water pump, C&R aluminum radiator, and custom headers fabricated by Goolsby Customs.
The drivetrain starts with a Gearstar Performance 4L65 four-speed automatic transmission. A QA1 carbon fiber driveshaft transmits torque to a GearFX 9-inch rear end with a 3.89 ratio.
Goolsby Customs upgraded the truck handling with a Roadster Shop SPEC chassis. It uses tubular control arms, AFCO coilovers, Wilwood Pro spindles, and parallel four-link rear suspension.
The body features a LMC Truck short bed, hood, side panels, floor, and grill. It is covered in BASF GM Light Blue Metallic and Frost White paint with orange stripes. Under each corner is a Billet Specialties SLC Series Invader wheels (20×9, 22×10.5) with Michelin Pilot tires (265/35, 305/35).
Goolsby Customs sent the truck to Cato’s Custom Upholstery for the custom Moore & Giles gray leather upholstery. The interior also has Dakota Digital gauges, Vintage Air SureFit AC system, and Squarebody Syndicate series Ididit steering column.
