Allen Millyard Rebuilds a 1.5 L V8 from the Norton Nemesis Motorcycle

Allen Millyard rebuilding a 1.5 L V8 from a Norton Nemesis motorcycle

In the late-90’s Norton Motorcycle Company approached ex-F1 engineer Al Melling at his company Melling Consultancy Design (MCD) to design a range of motorcycles. One of those designs is the Nemesis powered by a custom 1.5 L V8 and six-speed gearbox from a Suzuki GSX-R750. Al Melling claimed in Cycle World the V8 was capable of 230 hp at 13,000 rpm. A 1999 Nemesis prototype has been on non-running display at National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham, UK. Talented motorcycle builder Allen Millyard is tasked with rebuilding the motorcycle to working order. Watch the full series below.

Over the coming months I will be stripping the bike to sort out a few issues with the V8 engine and hopefully make it run and ride how it was intended 25 years ago.
