1969 Camaro Z/28 with a Supercharged LT4

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Goolsby Customs used their skills transforming this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 into a pro-touring beast. The heart of the project is a supercharged 6.2 L LT4 V8 producing 650 hp (478 kW) and 630 lb-ft (854 Nm) of torque. The motor features forged steel crank and rods, forged aluminum pistons, 1.7L Eaton R1740 TVS supercharger, and Ultimate longtube headers. Behind the motor is a Quicktime bellhousing bolted to a Bowler T56 Magnum six-speed manual transmission and 9-inch rear end with a GearFX center section. The powertrain is supported by a Roadster Shop SPEC chassis featuring tubular contol arms, adjustable coilovers, parallel 4-link rear suspension, and Wilwood disc brakes. A set of Forgeline CR3 three-piece wheels (18×8, 19×11) hold Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires (245/35, 325/30). View more photos of the car in Goolsby Customs’ build album.
