MR2 with Helicopter Turboshaft

I ran across this old post and thought it was crazy enough to write about it. This Toyota MR2 has two GE T58 turboshafts. There seems to be a few things mixed up on this article. The writer says these are jet turbines but if they really are T58s then these are actually helicopter turboshafts. I also have no idea how this builder could get both of those to turn one shaft without totally ripping the thing in half. If anyone knows anything more on this build please comment.
