Synergy 2.0 L V8 on the Dyno

Prototipo builds high-revving naturally aspirated Synergy V8 motors using motorcycle heads. Their 2.0 L Synergy 2000 V8 is able to produce 430 hp (316 kW) at 14,500 rpm and 240 Nm (177 ft-lb) at 10,000 rpm. The motor features a 81 mm bore and 45.5 mm stroke but Prototipo is able to increase displacement to 2.4 liters using 82 mm bore and 58 mm stroke. On top are BMW S1000RR heads with finger follower valvetrain. This wild engine technology comes with a cost. The 2.0 L V8 is $91,000 NZD ($53,000 USD). EPS Motorsports recently had a change to dyno tune one of these high-revving V8s in the video below.
