Golf Mk2 with a Turbo VR6

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Joe Strasser and his VW Golf Mk2 traveled to Germany for the L8Night event. DragMediaUK reports Joe’s primary VR6 motor suffered damaged and needed to be rebuilt by HST Tuning. So Joe borrowed another built 3.0 L VR6 motor for the L8Night event. The spare motor uses a R32 block, 2.8 L crankshaft, ZRP steel rods, JE forged pistons, R32 head, and Fueltech FT600 ECU. The VR6 motor is paired with a Kotouc 0A6 seven-speed sequential transmission and 4Motion AWD drivetrain sending power to four Hoosier slicks. While there he went 8.64 sec at 174 mph (280 km/h).
