Ryan from Inital DIY Mods started building a unique 2010 Mini Cooper in 2017. The car was powered by a turbocharged 1.6 L inline-four but it wasn’t enough. So Ryan swapped the factory powertrain for a turbocharged 2.0 L 4G63 inline-four and AWD drivetrain from a 1991 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX. Ryan also carried over the front control arms, knuckles, hubs, and brakes from the Eclipse GSX. The rear suspension and brakes are from a Mini Countryman. You can watch the full build series here or watch Ryan compete in the modified AWD class at a SCCA CFR rallycross event below.
