AWD Porsche 993 with a Turbo Honda K24

Published in engineswapdepot.com

This Porsche 993 Carrera 4S had a broken supercharged air-cooled flat-six. The rebuild cost was estimated at $25,000-$35,000. So the owner sent the car to TF-Works (Touge Factory) for an engine swap. In the back of the car they installed a turbocharged 2.4 L Honda K24 inline-four paired with the factory Porsche six-speed manual transaxle. The motor features TW-Works billet mounts, stock internals, TF-Works carbon intake manifold with their throttle body adapter, modified oil pan, custom exhaust manifold, and a Precision Gen2 5862 turbocharger. TF-Works installed a flex fuel system using ID 1000 cc injectors on their rail supplied by a DeatschWerks DW350iL pump. The motor runs on a Link Fury X ECU and Rywire wiring harness. It produced 475 hp (349 kW) and 330 lb-ft (447 Nm) to the hubs on 15 psi (1.0 bar) of boost and E40 fuel.
