1967 MGB GT with a Mazda 1.8 L Motor

Published in engineswapdepot.com

This 1967 MGB GT is now powered by a 1.8 L BP-4W inline-four from a 2000 Mazda Miata (NB). The Mazda motor features Maruha Motors camshafts (264° duration, 10mm lift), Supertech Performance valve springs and titanium retainers, Audi R8 ignition coils, Borla/TWM 45 mm individual throttle bodies, and Racing Beat Miata exhaust header. Fuel is held in a Todd Budde baffled 18-gallon tank and moved by a Walbro 255-lph pump. The motor is controlled by a MegaSquirt MS3X ECU. Behind the motor is a Flyin’ Miata 10-pound flywheel and Stage 1 clutch leading to a five-speed manual transmission also from a NB Miata. The car’s suspension uses Moss lowering springs and front sway bar, front disc brakes, and rear drum brakes. Inside the wells you find VTO Retro 4 15-inch wheels wearing 195/60 Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires. You can view more photos and details in the Bring a Trailer.
