Ken Block’s 1978 Escort is For Sale
Ken Block’s 1978 Ford Escort is being sold on Bring a Trailer. The project was built in 2008 by Quick Motorsport in Hereford, UK for Ken to compete in Gymkhana Grid. Under the carbon fiber hood is a 2.5 L Millington Diamond inline-four producing 333 hp (244 kW) and 246 lb-ft (333 Nm) of torque. Behind that is a AP Racing twin-place clutch and Sadev six-speed sequential transmission sending power to an independent 9-inch rear end. The Escort’s suspension uses electric power steering, WRC-style independent rear suspension, and Reiger three-way adjustable coilovers. Braking is handled by AP Racing four-piston calipers with 315×28 mm rotors in front and back. On the outside you find a Rocket Bunny widebody, carbon fiber hood and roof scoop, and a set of Fifteen52 17-inch wheels wearing Toyo Proxes T1 Sport 235/40 tires.
