A Mopar fan that goes by Moparts52 on Youtube is building a “Viper Dude” truck. The project starts with a 1970 Dodge D100 “The Dude” truck. These were a special “Sport Trim Package” available on D100 half-ton Sweptline pickup trucks in 1970-1971. The other part of the project involves a totaled 2005 Dodge SRT-10 truck with a crushed cab. Moparts52 is installing the 1970 Dude body over the stripped SRT-10 chassis and powertrain. Moparts52 will be c-notching the chassis and installing a lowered suspension. When completed the classic looking truck will be hiding a 8.3 L Viper V10 producing 500 hp (373 kW) and 525 lb-ft (712 Nm) of torque.
