1971 Toyota Land Cruiser with a LS3 V8
Greg Ward spent 3,000 hours creating this 1971 Toyota Land Cruiser (FJ40) at his company Greg’s Restorations in Rutland, Massachusetts. The project’s heart is a 6.2 L LS3 V8 crate motor producing 430 hp and 425 lb-ft of torque. Behind that is a Toyota H55F five-speed manual transmission and transfer case thanks to Advanced Adapters conversion kit. The Land Cruiser rides on a 4-link suspension lift using Bilstein shocks and factory disc brakes. On each corner are Black Rhino Shredder 17-inch wheels with Toyo Open Country 315/70 tires. The body is covered in Sherman Williams Dune Beige paint and features a Cool Cruisers of Texas (CCOT) front bumper with a Warn 8274 winch, polarized windshield, and LED headlights. The interior has restored factory seats, Forever Sharp steering wheel on an Ididit steering column, Dakota Digital RTX gauges, and Tuffy locking center console. You can view more completed and progress photos in the project page.
