Encor is building up to 50 special Lotus Esprit S1 cars. The company uses the chassis, V8 motor, transaxle, windows, and several accessories from the Lotus Esprit V8. The twin-turbo 3.5 L Type 918 V8 is rebuilt with forged pistons, upgraded turbochargers, and modern ECU. It produces 400 hp (294 kW) and 350 lb-ft (474 Nm) of torque. Encor also rebuilds the transaxle with upgraded gears and Quaife limited-slip differential. The S4 chassis goes under a custom carbon fiber monocoque. Encor installs a lowered suspension featuring Bilstein shocks and Eibach springs. Braking is handled by AP Racing six-piston front brakes and four-piston rear brakes. Those are covered by custom billet wheels with Bridgestone Potenza tires.
