1966 Chevelle with a Supercharged LS9 V8

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Smithy Customs built this 1966 Chevelle in 2021 at their company in Houston, Texas. Under the hood window is a supercharged 6.2 L LS9 V8 sourced from a C6 Corvette ZR1. The motor features forged steel crank, forged titanium rods, forged aluminum pistons, A356-T6 heads, 2.3 L Eaton supercharger, and Lingenfelter intake manifold with Nick Williams 102 mm throttle body. In factory spec the LS9 produces 638 hp (476 kW) and 604 lb-ft (819 Nm) of torque. That power is sent to the wheels through a 4Lxx four-speed automatic transmission and independent 9-inch rear end. The car sits on a Roadster Shop Fast Track chassis with Corvette ZR1 Brembo calipers and carbon ceramic rotors on each corner. Those are covered by Forgeline CF3C 20-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tires (265/30, 345/30).
