Andy’s AutoWerks built a unique Mazda RX-8. A custom hood cutout reveals an intake manifold of a 4.2 L Ferrari F136 S V8 from a Maserati Quattroporte. The motor features a cable-driven LSx 92 mm throttle body, custom exhaust and mounts, ECUmaster EMU Black ECU, and retains the factory dry sump. The F136 S is rated for 395 hp (290 kW) and 451 Nm (333 lb-ft). Behind the motor is a Speed Gems adapter connected to a Nissan CD009 six-speed manual transmission. A custom driveshaft sends power the factory RX-8 limited-slip differential. Listen to Andy explain the work required to swap a Ferrari V8.
