Toyota Starlet with a Suzuki Hayabusa Motor Racing in New Zealand

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Kevin Sanderson and his Hayabusa-powered Starlet compete in Rallysprint and hillclimb competitions. The 1984 Toyota Starlet is powered by a high-revving 1.3 L inline-four from a Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle. The motor produces 200 hp thanks to upgraded connecting rods, valve springs, dry sump, and custom stainless steel exhaust header. The drivetrain consists of a sequential transmission, custom driveshaft, and Toyota AE86 rear end with a Cusco limited-slip differential. Below are videos of Kevin competing in the Hamilton Car Club on Ruapuke Road near Raglan, New Zealand.
