  Dragos Stacescu from CompleteCHIP and his BMW 118d (E81) attended Drag Race Moldova 2025 drag racing event. While there the team went 8.315 sec at 268 km/h in the quarter-mile and set a world record. The 1 Series hatchback no longer has a 2.0 L M47 diesel inline-four. Instead it has a 3.0 L M57D30TU2 turbodiesel inline-six from a BMW 335d (E90). M5Phenomenon reports the inline-six is producing 1050 hp (772 kW) and 1550 Nm (1143 lb-ft) of torque. It is paired with a ZF 8HP70 eight-speed automatic transmission from a X6 (F16) and 330d xDrive AWD drivetrain. Watch the car on the dyno and track in the video below.
