1984 Toyota Pickup with a 1UZ V8

East Coast Garage interviewed Brian from Yotarip about his special 1987 Toyota Pickup. Brian says he purchased the truck with a turbocharged 22R inline-four. It is now powered by a 4.0 L Toyota 1UZ-FE VVTi V8 with a W58 five-speed manual transmission. The motor features a Toyota MR2 Turbo radiator, SC400 exhaust manifolds, oil filter relocation, and Tacoma brake booster. Brian upgraded the truck’s suspension with Stab Fab front coilovers and tubular upper control arms. In back there is QA1 adjustable shocks, custom traction bars, and early-80’s Motorhome rear sway bar. Behind the 18×9.5-inch front wheels are 1991 Nissan 300ZX four-piston front calipers with 1995 Mazda MPV rotors. And behind the 18×11-inch rear wheels are 1996 4Runner four-piston rear calipers with 2001 Ford Explorer rotors. Listen to Brian explain how he build the unique truck.
