1971 Barracuda with a 1000 hp Hellephant V8
Great Lakes Muscle Cars built this 1971 Plymouth Cuda called “Elee” at their company in Hilton, New York. The classic Mopar is powered by a supercharged 426 ci Hellephant V8 capable of 1000 hp and 950 lb-ft of torque. The motor features an aluminum block, forged steel crank and H-beam rods, forged aluminum pistons, nodular iron camshaft, 3.0 L IHI supercharger, and TTI exhaust headers. A Tremec six-speed manual transmission built by Silver Sport Transmission sends the motor’s power to a shortened 8.75-inch rear end with 3.91 ratio. To handle the increased power Great Lake Muscle Cars installed a USCT Motorsports chassis reinforcement kit with a Reilly Motorsports AlterKtion front suspension, 4-link rear suspension, and Wilwood six-piston calipers with drilled/slotted rotors. Covering those are Boze custom wheels (20×9, 20×12.5) with Michelin Pilot Sport (245/30, 325/30). You may view more photos in the FB build album and details at Dodge Garage.
