Lotus Exige with a 925 hp Twin-Turbo Ferrari V8 at Simola Hillclimb

Dawie Joubert won “King of the Kill” in his Lotus Exige at Simola Hillclimb 2024 in South Africa. The unique race car is powered by a twin-turbo 3.9 L Ferrari F154 V8 and six-speed sequential transaxle. The motor produced 765 hp (571 kW) in 2022 and 870 hp (639 kW) in 2023. HillClimb Monsters reports that the motor produced 925 hp (680 kW) and 900+ Nm (662+ lb-ft) of torque in 2024. Keeping the 1025 kg (2259 lb) race car planted is a aero packaged designed by Andrew Brilliant at AMB Aero. Watch Dawie compete at Simola Hillclimb 2024 in the video below.
