1987 Grand National with a Twin-Turbo V8
Dutchboys Hotrods built this 1987 Buick Grand National called “GNXS” for Angelo Vespi at their company in Vicksburg, Michigan. Under the hood sits a twin-turbo 427 ci (7.0L) LS7 V8 built by Mast Motorsports capable of 1400 hp (1029 kW) thanks to a pair of Nelson Racing Engines mirror 7268 turbochargers and Holley Dominator ECU. Behind that is a built 4L80 four-speed automatic transmission and GearFX 9-inch rear end. The powertrain is supported by a custom steel chassis with Detroit Speed’s X-Gen front suspension and Quadralink rear suspension. Helping control the four-digit power is a set of Baer Extreme+ six-piston calipers and 14-inch rotors. Those are covered by custom billet aluminum wheels built by Greening Auto Company and designed by Jason Rushforth.
