BGB Motorsports specializes in Porsche performance parts and service. For the past year they have been using their skills to build a Cayman “GT2RS”. The project starts with a 2016 Porsche Cayman GTS with a naturally aspirated 3.4 L flat-six and seven-speed PDK transaxle. BGB Motorsports swapped the factory motor for a twin-turbo 3.8 L flat-six from a Porsche 991.2 Turbo S. The added 718 GT4 Clubsport exhaust manifolds and custom water-to-air intercooler system by JT Oliver. BGB Motorsports tuned the motor into making 573 hp (421 kW) and 562 lb-ft (761 Nm) of torque. The car retains the seven-speed PDK transmission. Future plans call for upgraded the suspension with 981/718 GT4 uprights, control arms, toe links and GT4 Clubsport brakes.
