1955 Chevy C20 with a Twin-Turbo 5.3L V8
We found this 1966 Chevy C20 on Mecum auctions while searching for unique trucks. Under the hood is a twin-turbo 5.3 L LSx V8. It features forged rods and pistons, BTR Stage 2 226/231 camshaft, upgraded trunnions, chromoly pushrods, hi-rise intake manifold, and 102 mm throttle body. On each side of the aluminum radiator is a 62/68 turbocharger. Behind the motor is a 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission with a Transgo HD kit and a 14-bolt rear end. The truck rides on a 1986 K20 front subframe with CPP sway bar and C-cupped lower control arms. In back is a C-notched frame with CPL tubular trailing arms and CPP rear drop center. The ride height is controlled by a Accuair E-level system and two Airmaxxx compressors mounted in the custom pine bed. The interior features custom metal work and diamond stitched leather. Intellitronix digital gauges are behind a Forever Sharp steering wheel on a Jegs column. In front of those are Braum Elite X-Series seats with harnesses.
