Published in engineswapdepot.com

StinkyFab Racing (SFR) built this 1989 Jeep Comanche called the “Lab Rat” to develop and test new products at their company in Escondido, California. Under the hood sits a 4.7 L inline-six built by Bishop-Buehl Racing Engines capable of 285 hp. The motor features a Scat stroker crank, Bishop-Buehl pistons and H-beam rods, custom ground Comp camshaft, ported head with LSx valves and springs, and custom 2.5-inch exhaust. The motor is paired to an Aisin-Warner AW4 four-speed automatic transmission and NP231 transfer case. Power is split between a Dana 30 front axle with a Powertrax locking differential and Dana 44 rear axle with a Powertrax Grip Pro differential and 4.88 ratio. StinkyFab Racing installed a SFR Long Arm 4-Link front suspension with RockJock4x4 Anti-Rock front sway bar and SFR Premium 7075 aluminum 1-ton steering kit. In back are custom SFR shackles and Bilstein 5165 remote reservoir shocks.
