AWD BMW E46 with a 1250 hp Twin-Turbo S62
Jørgen Aune transformed his 2002 BMW E46 M3 into an AWD monster called “M3X” at his company JAAS Industriservice (JAAS Performance) in Norway. The beast’s heart is a twin-turbo S62B50 V8 featuring a factory S62 crank, ZRP forged rods, Wiseco forged pistons, ported heads, and two Precision 6266 turbochargers. The combo made 1250 hp (919 kW) and 1400 Nm (1032 lb-ft) of torque at 1.6 bar (23.2 psi) of boost tuned by Jørgen. The motor is paired to a Samsonas five-speed sequential transmission through a Tilton four-plate clutch. A Nissan R33 GT-R transfer case splits power between a BMW E30 325i rear differential installed in front and a BMW E34 M5 rear differential in back. The car rides on a custom tubular chassis with coilover suspension. Under the fenders are Work Meister S1s (18×10.5, 18×11) wheels with Michelin 280/68 tires in front and Michelin 300/68 tires in back. Behind those are Ksport eight-piston front brakes and six-piston rear brakes. Read more details on this monster at Speedhunters and view the progress at JAAS Industriservice FB page.
