1977 Jerrari – The Jeep Wagoneer with a Ferrari V12
Bill Harrah asked Enzo Ferrari to build a 4×4 Ferrari. Afer Enzo refused, William tasked US fabricators with creating the 1969 Jerrari; a 1969 Jeep Wagoneer with a 1969 Ferrari 365 front. They also swapped the 4.4 L Tipo V12 and five-speed manual transmission from the Ferrari 365. Later William had another Jerrari built this time using a 1977 Jeep Wagoneer. They pulled the V12 and five-speed transmission from the 1969 Jerrari and installed it into the 1977 Jerrari. The 1969 Jerrari received a 350 ci Chevy V8 and eventually exported to Germany. The 1977 Jerrari is on permanent display at the National Automobile Museum in Reno, Nevada with several vehicles from Bill’s car collection. Listen to Jay Leno discuss the unique SUV with President of National Automobile Museum Phillip MacDougall before taking it for a test drive.
