Oldsmobile 442 with a Supercharged LT4 V8

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Ironworks Speed & Kustom drove this freshly built 1970 Oldsmobile 442 out of their garage in Bakersfield, California. Under the classic hood is a supercharged 6.2 L LT4 V8 crate motor producing 640 hp (478 kW) and 630 lb-ft (881 Nm) of torque. Behind that is a 10L90 10-speed automatic transmission, Mark Williams driveshaft, and GearFX 9-inch rear end. Everything is supported by a Speedtech ExtReme chassis with an independent rear suspension and custom valved JRI shocks. The brakes are Wilwood six-piston calipers with 14-inch rotors. Those are covered by Forgeline FL500 with custom center caps (19×10, 20×12) and Michelin tires (285/35, 335/30). The modern power Camaro seats sit on a recessed floor allowing for a taller driver. Wood-veneered aluminum panels surrounds the Dakota Digital gauges and accent the carbon fiber doors panels. The 10-speed automatic transmission is controlled by a Hurst shifter or paddles shifters behind the steering wheel.
