VW Golf Mk6 with a 806 hp Turbo 3.6L VR6

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Volkswagen built this Golf R (Mk6) with a turbocharged 2.0 L FSI inline-four making approximatley 270 hp (198 kW). The owner wanted more power and the unique sound that only a VR6 can offer. So they sent it to AW Racing in Poland where they swapped a turbocharged 3.6 L VR6. This built motor is capable of 806 hp (592 kW) and 930 Nm (685 lb-ft) of torque. They also swapped a DQ500 seven-speed automatic transmission with a Stage 1 clutch upgrade. Both the engine and transmission run on a Bosch MED9 control unit tuned by R-Performance. The drivetrain received an upgraded driveshaft and axles while the suspension received KW DDC coilovers and H&R sway bars. AW Racing states the car reached 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.1 sec and 100-200 km/h (62-124 mph) in 4.9 sec.
