Speed Farm Garage Racing a Mid-Engine Mitsubishi Eclipse at the Track

Published in engineswapdepot.com

James from Speed Farm Garage and his wild 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse went racing at Grand Bend Motorplex in Grand Bend, ON, Canada. James converted the Eclipse to RWD by installing a custom tubular cradle with a 3.8 L 6G75 V6 in the back. The motor features custom fuel rails, RRE headers, and custom exhaust. Power is sent to the rear wheels by a six-speed manual transmission with a FX400 clutch and Clutchmasters steel flywheel. The Eclipse stops thanks to four-piston calipers with 350×32 mm rotors in front and four-piston rear calipers with 320×32 mm rotors in back. A set of Koenig Heliogram 18×9.5-inch wheels cover those with Toyo R888R tires (265/35). View the full specs and follow the project’s progress in the Club4G build thread.
