BMW E36 with a 1126 hp Turbo S50 Inline-Six
Johan Ehlin built his 1992 BMW 325i (E36) to drag race. In the engine bay sits a turbocharged S50 inline-six capable of 1126 hp (828 kW). The motor starts with a S50B30 block bored to 87 mm, custom girdle, 3.2 L crankshaft, CP forged pistons, DP forged rods, and dry sump. On top of the motor is a ported 3.2 L head with custom camshafts, PPF valves, springs, and retainers. Boost is generated by a Precision 8285 turbocharger helped by a water/methanol injection system. Johan backed the monster motor with a Mid Valley NC500 H-pattern dogbox and E36 M3 rear end. The car rides on Kansei KNP 18×10.5-inch wheels with Pirelli P Zero tires in front. In back there are Weld Prostar 15×10-inch wheels with Mickey Thompson ET 28×10-inch street slicks. Watch as Snooken Recordings recorded Johan at a high-speed event in Sweden.
