Eugene Lawrence enjoys driving his custom Mazda RX-8 around Gauteng, South Africa. Eugene planned on using a turbocharged 1.3 L 13B two-rotor from a Series 6 RX-7. However he chose a turbocharged 2.0 L 20B three-rotor featuring a Holset HX55 turbocharger and FuelTech FT600 ECU. Boost is turned down to protect the factory RX-8 six-speed manual transmission. So the three-rotor currently makes 400 kW (536 hp) but will eventually make 800-900 kW (1072-1206 hp) when swapped to a DCT seven-speed automatic transmission.
