1996 Nissan 200SX with a Turbo RB25
Shane Van der Merwe built his 1996 Nissan Silvia 200SX (S14) the way he always wanted. Under the carbon fiber hood is a turbocharged RB25 NEO inline-six capable of 1,000 hp but is currently making 561 hp on 0.8 bar (11.6 psi) of boost and 95 octane fuel. The motor features billet pistons, forged rods, aftermarket camshafts, billet N1 oil pump, RPM Racing intake manifold, Precision turbocharger, and 1000 cc injectors. The car rides on Tein adjustable coilovers and a set of Enkei RPF1 wheels. On the inside are Cobra Monaco Pro seats with Takata harnesses and a Sparco steering wheel. Shane also 3D printed a console insert to hold a digital display inspired by a R34/R35 GT-R display. Listen to Shane explain the car to Cars.co.za in the video below.
