Published in engineswapdepot.com

Blackdog Speed Shop spent almost two years builting this 1989 Chevrolet K5 Blazer V1500 at their company in Lincolnshire, Illinois. Beneath the hood is a supercharged 6.2 L LT4 V8 making 640 hp and 630 lb-ft of torque. The motor features a forged steel crank, forged steel rods, forged aluminum pistons, 6-bolt nodular iron main caps, A356-T6 heads, wet sump, and custom 3-inch stainless steel exhaust. Behind the motor is a Bowler Tru-Street 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission and dual-range transfer case. Power is split between a 8.5-inch front axle and 10-bolt rear end with 2.73 ratio. The Blazer stops thanks to Baer six-piston calipers with 13-inch slotted/drilled rotors in front and Baer four-piston calipers with 13-inch drilled/slotted rotors in back. Covering those are American Racing 17-inch wheels with Falken Wildpeak A/T AT3W tires (285/70).
