1987 Bertone X1/9 with a Honda K24

This 1987 Bertone X1/9 orignally came with a 1.5 L 138.A2/A4 inline-four and five-speed manual transmission. It is now powered by a 2.4 L Honda K24 inline-four on a Midwest-Bayless subframe. The motor features a K20Z3 head, TSX camshafts, 410 cc injectors, K20 oil pump and pan, and modified stainless steel exhaust header. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission with a M-Factory limited-slip differential and custom axles. The car’s suspension uses VW strut tubes, Bilstein B8 strut inserts, Bicknell sleeves, Volvo strut pivot bearings, Ford strut mounts, QA1 progressive springs, strut tower reinforcement plates, revised trailing arms, and a 22 mm front sway bar. Braking is handled by CEIKA six-piston calipers with drilled/slotted rotors in front and Fiat calipers in back. The car rides on Rota TBT 15-inch wheels with Federal 595RS tires (205/50, 225/45).
