1966 Barracuda with a Supercharged 5.7L V8
We stumbled across this 1966 Plymouth Barracuda on Canyon Stage Classics while searching for Hemi swaps. The classic is now powered by a supercharged 5.7 L Hemi V8 making 700 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. The motor features an Edelbrock E-Force Stage 3 supercharger, BBK headers, custom stainless steel exhaust, Milodon oil pan, and Fast XFI ECU. The V8 is paired to an AMG 722.6 five-speed automatic transmission controlled by a PCS TCU. A chromoly driveshaft sends power to a Mopar 8.75-inch rear end with 3.73 gears.
The car received improved handling thanks to upgrades from Magnum Force. It included their front subframe with tubular control arms, PSC steering rack, and Viking adjustable coilovers. Behind that are subframe connectors leading to their 4-link rear suspension with Viking coilovers. Braking is handled by Wilwood four-piston calipers with 12-inch drill/slotted rotors in front and 11-inch drilled/slotted rotors in back.
The exterior sleek look starts with shaved moldings and everything including the bumpers covered in Axalta brown/black paint. They also installed Road Runner turn signals, custom taillights, and Road Runner backup lights. The finishing touch is a set of Cragar 18-inch wheels. All the changes were enough for the car to sell at Barrett-Jackson for $77,000.
