1954 Chevy Truck with a 630 hp LSx V8
Metalworks Speed Shop transformed a pile of panels into a pro-touring 1954 Chevy truck capable of selling at Barrett-Jackson for $330,000.
Under the shiny hood is a 6.0 L LSx V8 built by Ross Automotive Machine capable of 630 hp. The motor features a Holley intake manifold and FAST EZ-EFI throttle body. Exhaust is routed through a set of Ultimate headers to dual 2.5-inch pipes.
Behind the V8 is a Streetfighter converter and TCI 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission. A custom aluminum driveshaft sends power to a Strange 9-inch rear end equipped with a limited-slip differential, 3.70 ratio, and 31-spline axles.
Everything is supported by an Art Morrison GT Sport chassis. Up front are tubular control arms and Pro drop spindles. In back is a triangulated 4-link suspension. Each corner features a Strange coilover, Wilwood Pro Series disc brake, and a Boze Shifter 18-inch wheels.
Jon Lind Interiors covered the seats, console, and door panels in black and grey leather. A leather-wrapped steering wheel bolts to a Flaming River tilt column. The painted dash holds Dakota Digital HDX gauges and Vintage AC controls.
On the outside Metalworks Speed Shop coated everything in grey metallic paint. It is accented by black Cerakote trim and custom 3100 badging. The bed features a custom tailgate with LED taillights and oak floor.
