1971 Blazer with a LT1 V8
Velocity Restorations built this 1971 Chevy K5 Blazer at their company in Cantonment, Florida. In the engine bay a 6.2 L LT1 V8 generates 455 hp and 455 lb-ft of torque. The motor features forged steel crank, forged rods, hypereutectic aluminum pistons, 242/244 camshaft, and 11.5:1 compression. Behind that is a 10L80 10-speed automatic transmission and Atlas II transfer case. Power is split between a Dana 44 front axle and Dana 60 rear axle. The Blazer rides on Velocity Restorations chassis built by Roadster Shop featuring a 4-bar front and rear suspension with Fox coilovers. Behind the 18-inc wheels and BFGoodrich T/A 305/70 tires are Wilwood disc brakes. The interior features brown Italian leather, wood steering wheel on a Ididit tilt steering column, custom Dakota Digital gauges, and six-point roll cage.
