A really rusty but loved 1971 Toyota FJ40 arrived at Proffitt’s Resurrection Land Cruisers for a complete rebuild. There the company fixed the damage and coated everything in a custom matte grey paint. Under that they swapped a 2.8 L Cummins R2.8 turbodiesel inline-four paired to a H55F five-speed manual transmission. To improve handling they installed an Old Man Emu 2.5-inch suspension lift with Bilstein 5125 shocks and disc brakes front and rear. The interior received later-FJ40 seats covered in vinyl, Dakota Digital gauges, and Gen 4 Vintage Air system.
