Nate Hamilton’s 2JZ-Powered Toyota GR86

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Adrian Fajardo and the team at Nate Hamilton’s company 144 Racing spent 2,560+ hours building a 2023 Toyota GR86 for drifting with help from Conner at Continental Customs. The coupe is powered by a turbocharged 3.4 L 2JZ inline-six built by RAD Industries capable of 800-1000+ hp. The motor features a forged internals, GSC camshaft, Garrett G35-1050 turbocharger, Hypertune intake manifold, Virtual Works exhaust manifold, Deatschwerks 1500 cc injectors, and Powerhouse Racing 5-stage dry sump system. A Quicktime bellhousing surrounds a triple-disc clutch connecting a G-Force GSR four-speed transmission. From there power is transferred by a custom 4-inch carbon fiber driveshaft to a BullDog/MA-Motorsports XR-420i quick-change rear end and Driveshaft Shop axles. The car rides on BC adjustable coilovers and a custom FDF Raceshop angle kit. Underneath the Accelera Tires livery is Seibon carbon fiber hood, doors, and trunk lid.
