This custom 1954 Volkswagen Bug is built and owned by Dan Troyer. The modified Bug body rides on a custom tube chassis with a Heidts front suspension kit. In the front of the car sits a supercharged LS3 V8 that features a TSP Bald Eagle camshaft and a LSA supercharger with stock pulley. It made 619 horsepower and 536 lb-ft of torque on 5 psi of boost and E85 fuel. That level of power should easily move the 2,500 lb vehicle. The drivetrain consists of a T56 six-speed manual transmission, custom driveshaft, and narrowed Ford 9-inch rear end. Read more about how the project started in Street Muscle’s article.
