Custom VW Beetle with a RB25DET Inline-Six

Published in engineswapdepot.com

The idea for this unique project started when the clutch went out in a BMW E36 318is used for drifting. The owner planned to scrap the car but changed his mind after seeing another project. The new plan was cut the body off and install a modified 1972 Volkswagen Beetle body over the E36 chassis and suspension. Up front you find a turbocharged 2.5 L RB25DET inline-six featuring forged rods, GReddy intake, 800 cc injectors, and Holset turbocharger. You can view more photos and follow the progress on the project’s FB page.
