Strictly Performance Motorsports in Kalamazoo, Michigan is converting a 1968 Chevy C10 truck into a Pro-touring machine capable of competing at the track. The team started with a long bed C10 that they converted into a short bed. They plan on replacing the factory powertrain with a supercharged 6.2 L LT4 V8 capable of 640-650 horsepower and 630-650 lb-ft of torque connected to an 8L90 eight-speed automatic transmission using Muscle Rods’ engine mounts and transmission crossmember. The truck will ride on a full QA1 suspension using tubular control arms, swap bars, adjustable coilovers and a Flaming River rack and pinion system. Follow the project’s progress in the build thread.
