Warick Meldrum wanted more power in his 1967 Camaro so he turned to an unlikely source, a turbocharged 4.0 L Barra inline-six from a Ford Falcon XR6 Turbo. He explained to Street Machine that he chose the Ford inline-six because he had one sitting around and figured why not. He installed the engine using the factory Ford wiring harness with a Haltech Elite Pro Plug-in ECU, a set of modified Tuff Mounts, and modified factory Camaro subframe. Behind the engine sits a TH400 automatic transmission and BorgWarner differential from a VP Commodore. Warick’s best quarter-mile in the Camaro is a 10.30 sec at 130 mph.
