Jeep Wrangler with a Hellcat V8
Dakota Customs in Rapid City, South Dakota decided it would be fun to shove the most powerful engine made by Chrysler into a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and see what happens.
Dakota Customs used all their experience swapping HEMI V8 engines along with components from their conversion kits to install the supercharged V8 into the engine bay.
The white JK is now powered by a supercharged 6.2 L Hellcat V8 that produces 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. Behind that sits a ZF 8HP90 eight-speed automatic transmission typically found behind these powerful engines from the factory. The driver controls the transmission using paddle shifters on the steering wheel.
The team couldn’t just leave the mods to the engine bay. The suspension has been upgraded with a 4″ Synergy lift, Fox remote reservoir shocks, RCV axle shafts, and a set of 37″ all terrain tires. On the outside the Wrangler has Smittybilt front bumper, Genright rear bumper and aluminum fender flares, Hard Rock Edition hood, and Rigid Industries front light bar.
Of course all this power doesn’t come cheap. The Hellcat conversion alone costs $56,000 due to the fact the engine goes for $20K. This particular Wrangler was sold and the listing price was $139,995. No matter what it sold for someone is having a lot of fun right now.
